Despite less-than-spectacular sales, Activisions CEO says theyre behind it all the way

In a new interview with GameInformer, CEO of Activision Bobby Kotick has revealed that the company is still firmly behind the DJ Hero franchise and is working on DJ Hero 2, despite the originals less-than-stellar sales.

"I think DJ Hero is a really innovative product," Kotick explains. "I cant wait for you to see next years. Thats the thing; were sticking with it. Well stick with it and get it right. But its going to be less games, better games. Thats our strategy."

Less games from Activision? That’ll be the game. DJ Hero Renegade Edition dropped to $99 in Australia over the Christmas break, a full $200 off the original price. We’d say it didn’t do that great, but it was quite fun.
