The industry's worst kept secret is finally out of the bag
Call of Duty: Black Ops 2 is now coming to the Wii U. I don’t really know what else to say.
Boasting a “near-future” setting as well as branching storylines (which are apparently innovative), the Wii U version will also boast “renovated class customisation”.
A real-time demo of the game was shown off at the New York conference today, with a map called “Cargo” being played. The GamePad can be used to view the game’s mini-map as well as call in score streaks. Load outs can be changed too, on-the-fly, without exiting the action on the GamePad.
Should players feel the need to take their experience elsewhere, they can also play the game with no compromise on the GamePad without using a TV. Additionally, it is possible to play multiplayer with two players using only one TV, with the second player using the GamePad. Nifty. For those feeling a bit more conventional, Black Ops II will also be playable with the Wii Remote, Nunchuk and Wii U Pro Controller.
Call of Duty: Black Ops II will be a launch title for the Wii U when it releases later this year.
Get in quick, they go fast.
