Activision announce Guitar Hero 5, Band Hero and DJ Hero
Activision has announced that Guitar Hero 5 is on the way and joining the range, family friendly Band Hero and DJ Hero. Yes, were as shocked as you.
Activision has today announced three new Hero titles. We’ll start off with the one we all know, Guitar Hero 5. Guitar Hero 5 will let “fans continue to fulfil their rock fantasies; Guitar Hero 5 features the hottest rock and roll artists today as well as classic rock bands”. It also seems that you’ll be able to switch in and out of songs and change band members on the fly. Notably, Guitar Hero will retain the band functionality, despite the announcement of Band Hero.
Band Hero will be the Hero’s first E10+ (that means the kiddies can play) game and will feature more Top 40 based songs than Guitar Hero. This is aimed at expanding the Guitar Hero experience to a broader family audience, because your Mum doesn’t like rocking out to Ozzy Osbourne. The game will take use of Guitar Hero Guitars, Drums and Microphones.
And last but not least we’ve got a look finally at DJ Hero. DJ will be bringing a bunch of new genres of music with it with, R&B, Motown, electronica and dance joining the scene. Using the included turntable DJ Hero allows you do create original mixes of popular songs.
All three games are due later this year, yep by our count thats 8 ‘Hero’ titles this year. More as it comes in.
