Players will be able to switch between 2D and 3D on every 3DS game, seeking to appease those worried about possible adverse health effects on younger gamers. No-one is yet sure exactly how the 3DS’s display will work, but the current perception is that the 3D effect will have a limited viewing field to be effective. Having the option to switch the feature off is comforting for those concerned that the limited viewing range would impinge on their enjoyment of the device whilst commuting or on the go.
The news comes with the announcement from Nintendo that the 3DS will have heavily bolstered anti-piracy measures, a problem which has plagued the DS for years in the form of unlicensed third-party flash cards.
