Existing owners, you have until 2pm on the 11th of August to sign in and get your games

This week is the week that the worldwide Nintendo 3DS price drop kicks in. If you’ve been living under a rock for the last 2 weeks, we’ll remind you that the Nintendo 3DS will be dropping from its recommended retail price of $349.95AU to its brand new price point at $249.95AU. This price drop will start on Thursday (the 12th).

This means if you want your 10 free NES games and 10 free GBA Games and don’t have a 3DS, you’ll have to pick up a console now and connect it to the eShop before tomorrow (the 11th) is over. Existing owners, just make sure your firmware is updated and then connect to the eShop before this time. You don’t have to click anything, buy anything – just make sure your system is connected to Nintendo’s servers as soon as possible.

Some 3DS users have already received notifications from Nintendo about the Ambassador Program and their inclusion in it. Not everyone so far has received it so don’t panic if you haven’t got one yet.

Thanks to Clipper and Deek for their help with photos.
