Nintendo has pushed a new 3DS firmware updates to Nintendo 3DS consoles around the world. Don’t get too excited, there isn’t anything huge here.

The biggest changes in this 5.0.0.-11E update are the ability to download games in sleep mode off the eShop without having to quit the eShop. Now once you’ve purchased a game you can close the 3DS and it will download your game. The other change is the update of the eShop logo to match that of the Wii U.

There’s also some behind the scene changes to prepare for the save transfer app being released this week. This app will allow you to transfer your save files from a card to a downloaded version of a game.

There’s also good old stablity and usability updates.
