Doesn’t that just make you yearn for a true 3D version of 3D Dot Game Heroes?!
Doesn’t that just make you yearn for a true 3D version of 3D Dot Game Heroes?!
Square Enix’s middleware house and creators of the cult classic PS3 Zelda-alike 3D Dot Game Heroes Silicon Studio have been confirmed as the developers of the upcoming 3DS RPG Bravely Default. Hows that for a mouthful of a 30 word sentence? The game was previously assumed to be in the hands of Matrix Software, who are Square’s goto for Final Fantasy and Dragon Quest ports.
Despite Bravely Default’s far more traditional art style, it nonetheless instills some hope that the game might make some crazy good use of 3D and perspective. I kind of really do just want to see how 3D Dot Game Heroes would look in actual 3D though. Game was crazy cool. Maybe some of the same old school design philosophies make it in at least.
The reveal came via the game’s official Twitter page and was translated by the lovely folks at Andriasang.
It is a Holiday Gaming Extravaganza
