The 30th Anniversary of Super Mario Bros. has been celebrated all year, that year is coming to a close and what do we have to show for it? Sure there’s amiibo and games – but what about a book?
The Legend of Zelda got a book when it celebrated its 25th with Hyrule Historia, now Super Mario Bros is getting one for its 30th.
Nintendo has published a 255 page encyclopaedia in Japan featuring a detailed history of the 17 mainline Super Mario games. Developer interviews, original artwork, level designs and more feature within these pages. The one problem, at this stage its all in Japanese.
We can only hope that the book is translated and released in the west, otherwise you can order it from Amazon Japan if you’d like it right now.
