The studio linked to Mother 3 and the side mode London Life in Professor Layton and the Last Specter will experience a number of changes in 2013.
Due to their recent co-development efforts, Nintendo subsidiary Brownie Brown will undergo a name change and also adjustments to its internal structure.
With Nintendo’s next generation truly underway it’s no surprise alterations are being made throughout the company.
From this point onwards, the developer Brownie Brown will be known as 1-UP Studio.
A message on the Brownie Brown website explains how the studio is being restructured to better focus on upcoming projects with Nintendo.
As part of the change, the Brownie Brown website will be taken down on the 31st of March.
After Brownie Brown’s recent involvement with the development of Super Mario 3D Land, this new and closer partnership with Nintendo is likely to eventuate into something special.
The Japan-based studio was originally founded in 2000 and has also been and linked to a number of developers outside of Nintendo in the past such as Level 5 and Mistwalker.
