Wii U Firmware Updated, Big Firmware Update Now Planned for End of September
Nintendo has pushed a minor firmware update to the Wii U live today, it doesn’t do too much and isn’t the ‘big’ update we’re all waiting for.
This update however does one nice thing though, in standby the Wii U will now regularly connect to the Nintendo to download SpotPass data, system updates ready to be installed the next time the system is switch on. Just now if more than New Super Mario Bros U used SpotPass that would be great.
There’s also the usual ‘improvements to system stability and usability’ that we all know and love.
The release notes for the update also reveal that the second ‘big’ update of 2013 will now been released between ‘the end of September and beginning of October’. This update is planned to speed up the system even further and add new features.
See even firmware updates can get delayed.
