Vooks Game of the Year 2012: New Super Mario Bros. U

You’ve stuck with us for the past few days, working through all the other awards and now it’s time reveal the big winner, well you already know because it’s in the title but, yes, New Super Mario Bros. U is the Vooks Game of the Year for 2012.

We’ve said in our review, in our latest podcast and when it won the best Wii U game award we said it then, but New Super Mario Bros. U is the the 2D Mario title we’ve been craving for some time. It’s ticks all the right boxes, has the right mix of new and old and it’s polished. Oh so polished. Not to mention it looks gorgeous in high definition. Our runners up though deserve some respect though and they are Kid Icarus: Uprising in second and in third place place it’s a tie between ZombiU and Pokemon Black 2 and White 2. If you’re after the pure numbers though, here’s the top ten.
