The sweetest Breath of the Wild NPC
In case you’ve just crawled out from beneath a rock, or recently emerged from a cryogenic stasis like a certain Hero of Time we all know, Breath of the Wild is amazing. The game features an overwhelming amount of subtle details which add to the rich tapestry of characterisation the Legend of Zelda series is known for. Recently, players have discovered an in-game event that occurs when Link stands on the edge of a bridge overlooking the menacing drop below.
As documented by Twitter user @TristanACooper, a non-playable character (NPC) by the name of Brigo calls out to Link. Interpreting the situation as one of potential self-harm, Brigo implores our beloved hero to reconsider his actions. Although his words are a little on the blunt side, the sentiment is wonderful.
If you stand on the edge of a bridge, this guy will try to talk Link down from suicide. He even offers to help talk you through it

The last frame is beautifully touching, where Brigo offers to stay with Link and talk with him. Consider this the beginning of my campaign for Brigo to have his own game, “The Hero of Hyrule’s Hero“.

What a coincidence. I actually met that guy last night! I was surprised he said that when I stood on the edge. Just another awesome little detail you get from Nintendo.
If you get back up on the edge a second time he ignores you though!
This is such an interesting attention to detail. It’s one of those things that I wouldn’t be surprised if it had an impact on someone’s life…
