Straight Right working on AAA Wii U Game for Square Enix
News just in today that the same Australian-based company, who are currently in the process of porting Mass Effect 3 to the Wii U, have another project up their sleeves.
The Linkedin profile of Straight Right Technical Project Manager Chris Slater, has been updated to say “Working for Straight Right on a short term contract, porting a triple-A Square Enix game to the yet-to-be-released Wii U platform.” It also states he’s been in this position from June 2012 until now.
So what could Square-Enix be bringing to the Wii U? While many would love it to be Final Fantasy it’s more like to be either one of the companies more (western) recent games like Deus Ex: Human Revolution, Sleeping Dogs or Hitman: Absoluten. Given that it’s been worked on since June. Then again it could be one of their titles coming soon including Tomb Raider or even Thief 4.
Any of these titles would be an excellent addition to the swelling library of AAA games already coming to the WiiU. We’ve reached out to Straight Right for further comment.
