Retro styled 8Bitdo controllers now work with the Nintendo Switch
The popular 8Bitdo controllers have been updated to a new firmware version that allows them to work on the Nintendo Switch.
The controllers look and feel like the NES, SNES and Famicom with some liberties so they’re not exactly the same.
Once updated with the latest firmware, depending on which controller you use they can be detected as either a Joy-Con or Pro Controller and you can play compatible games with these NES and SNES-like pads.
With a growing collection of retro and retro-inspired games on the Switch, not to mention the yet-to-launch Virtual Console. These controllers could be just what you need.
The 8Bitdo controllers also work with Windows, Android, MacOS, Steam and their adapters even worth with the NES Mini. Check them out here.

I’m honestly curious, but I’ve been burned by third-party controllers before. At $50 at minimum on ebay, I’m already half-way to another set of joycons.
