My Nintendo is the new Club Nintendo, account system and more
Nintendo’s new CEO Tatsumi Kimishima has revealed the name of Nintendo’s new membership service, it’s called My Nintendo.
My Nintendo isn’t just an account system, it is also a cross platform friend list, the replacement for Club Nintendo but also a way to sync and share save data between mobile and Nintendo dedicated devices. You log into your My Nintendo with your new Nintendo account.
“The new My Nintendo membership service, through which friend relationships will be created and managed for use across software for both dedicated game systems and smart devices” says Nintendo in a statement.
Nintendo’s new loyalty program, will track and earn points on purchases, but you’ll also be rewarded for playing games. My Nintendo also will distribute game characters, add-on content (DLC) and other personalised offers.
My Nintendo launches in March 2016 alongside Miitomo.
