Nintendo sends out final Wii U units, first day patch coming
It’s now 12 days until the United States gets their hands on the Wii U, well the general public at least as it appears the gaming media have received their review units today. Earlier this morning Rich from IGN Tweeted some images of the system they received along with the some of stipulations they have from Nintendo.
According to IGN the system will require a patch on day one as the UI and Operating system isn’t either complete or not entirely working just yet. Don’t worry this happened with the Nintendo 3DS as well. These Wii U units have to sit in a warehouse after being made and Nintendo will no doubt be working on the software right up until release day. The patch will add Miiverse, Wii U Chat , Nintendo TVii and the eShop.
On the game side of things Game Informer got their hands on Rabbid’s Land for the Wii U as well and opened it up for the world to see. Very game like.
In news closer to home it looks like the exact same box has been showing up in stores here in Australia. We thought you might to see the list of things included in the Premium Set.
Thanks to Nathan for the last picture!
I know one thing that won’t be part of the AU system update. We’d have heard about TVii by now if that was going to happen here.
When it was announced im pretty sure they said it was US only. It may be something that eventually gets added but im guessing not anytime soon.
Glad to see the console out in the wild!! Shame its not out now, could do with some Mario and ZombiU action right now.
Got the day off on release day (30/11 NZ), thanks for the preview of Vook. Getting the deluxe set and ZombiU. Such greats games coming out at the moment. Happy Days!
