Nintendo Download Update (11/7) Pokemon Trading Card Game
After a hectic couple of weeks on the eShop, especially for Wii U owners it’s time to take the foot off the gas with a little bit of a slower week.
That doesn’t mean its a bad week though with 3DS owners being treated to the very brilliant Pokemon Trading Card Game…err game for the Game Boy Color. We’re not sure if the great multiplayer and infrared features will work on this game but believe it or not there’s still a good story to play through.
You do miss out of the limited edition Meowth card this time around.
Elsewhere there’s great discounts for NES Remix or NES Remix 2, depending on what one you own for Wii U owners.
So then, anything for you?

I’m absolutely ecstatic about Pokemon TCG! I was always upset they never made any more!
I didn’t think the NES Remix games would ever be on sale though but I haven’t picked up 2 yet so it seems like a great time to get it since NES Remix was so great!
@mikeeeey:
Wasn’t there a sequel in Japan?
(But yeah, totally have to get this).
Also: I don’t own either NES Remix game. Can anyone tell me how much the discount is and whether I still get it if I buy one now then buy the other?
There was a sequel in Japan, but it was never put out anywhere else unfortunately. I don’t think there’s even a fan translation either! It featured all the Team Rocket cards too. There were little to no new features however.
As for the NES Remix pricing, we’ll not know until the time they go up unfortunately. We only received European pricing, and for now we’ll have to wait to confirm Australian pricing. I’m keen to see how it is too! I might pick both of them up if it’s a good price.
So do we need to buy either Remix games now or can we wait until they actually go on sale? (and then buy one and get the discount on the other).
Game Freak have somewhat updated to a new version, though of course it doesn’t have the solid story of that game.
It’s not released on a Nintendo console – believe it or not – but as a game on the computer! Has a campaign mode, with multiplayer there too. I think getting cards in real life is what contributes to getting new cards for this game outside the three starter decks.
Perhaps that’d be something you’d be up for checking out? It can be downloaded via Pokemon.com.
I’m pretty sure that one’s not made by Game Freak, just by some developer working for The Pokémon Company… although I’m not sure if that matters.
(Weren’t the GBC ones made by Hudson Soft anyway?)
