My Nintendo launched in Japan today, take a look at Club Nintendo’s replacement
So Nintendo might have only launched Miitomo and My Nintendo today but that hasn’t stopped us from taking a look at what’s in store. Firstly, we have to point out just how ‘ready’ the site feels and just how much of it is in English, the program isn’t to far off launching worldwide we think, it’s just a matter of time.
Just to remind everyone, My Nintendo is the replacement for Club Nintendo – unlike that program there’s more than one way to earn points and there’s physical, digital and game rewards up for grabs. We’ve already grabbed some rewards or Miitomo simply by signing up, all of the ‘cooler’ rewards are locked behind purchases for now.
Missions are Nintendo’s take on Trophies or Achievements, but in classic Nintendo fashion they’ve done them their own way and theyr’e far more rewarding than just a little symbol or number.
Some of the missions are just simply linking up your Nintendo Network ID to your My Nintendo account, adding a friend on Miitomo or even just changing your Mii’s clothes in the game.
Rewards range from simple things like more game tokens in Miitomo, more coins, outfits for Miitomo to more substantial rewards like free (and exclusive) games like Wario Ware Touch, a brand new Twilight Princess Picross title and then there’s discounts of up to 20% various Wii U, 3DS and eShop games.
The first reward you redeem is the coin boxes which are picture above, it’s where all your loot will be stored.
We’ll have more on Miitomo later today stay tuned.
So achievement points can be spent on buying games?
Awesome!
Wow looks great!
