The title was previously shown in a trailer during Nintendo’s E3 presentation last year where Link took down an enemy after an energetic ride with Epona.

The game was shown on another TV however you could still the beautiful graphics and landscapes of the game. The duo also showed off some of the world map which was on the GamePad, it looks huge.

The Legend of Zelda for Wii U will arrive next year in 2015.

This looks incredible, I was unsure if I was going to E3 next year, but this has made it a yes I am going now. What a way to end the show

I’m curious if the game will allow you to use the Pro Controller and if you can have the map appear on the TV. Also some textures/surfaces in that footage look dreadful, like good N64 dreadful.

It’s still a year away. It’s kind of like how Super Mario 3D World’s announce footage looked very meh, but the footage closer to launch was much prettier. Nintendo doesn’t work like most other developers, i.e. Build an awesome looking game first then scale back ’til it fits on consoles, they build the game up with graphics being the last thing they really touch up.

Yeah that’s what I figured. This approach would also allow for better optimizing without compromising the game content.

So far I find the overworld reminds me of Darksiders II, Shadow of the Colossus and Dragon Dogma’s overworlds. It doesn’t really remind me at all of the awful Skyrim (Lots of people are comparing it to Skyrim for some reason).
