E3 2012: Paper Mario 3DS resticks as Paper Mario: Sticker Star
Nintendo have finally announced and revealed Paper Mario 3DS to the masses. Titled Paper Mario: Sticker Star, the game takes place during an annual “Sticker Fest”, when all of a sudden Bowser decides to pull a pran and scatter six Royal Stickers across the land. To retrieve these stickers, which are stuck to Bowser and his underlings, Mario sets off on an adventure with a new companion Kersti.
Kersti is a sticker fairy, who allows Mario to use stickers to his own advantage, whether it be using them to attack, unfold hidden areas of the environment or even flattening out areas of the environment to create passages to secret areas and worlds, of which include deserts, forests, snowy mountaintops and volcanoes.
As you would expect, stickers can be found everywhere and can be peeled off enemies or the environment, created by yourself (the player) or even stored in a notebook for later use.
With the 3DS’s 3D visuals, the game will look like a shoebox diorama at every point giving a great feeling to the game’s lovingly crafted worlds.
Paper Mario: Sticker Star has not been confirmed with any release date as of yet, but will be released at a retail level (as a physical product) and on the eShop (as a digital product).
