Aussie Nintendo Download Updates (4/2) – Final Smash
So it’s the end of all the Super Smash Bros. DLC! Along with the end of Splatoon content, it really is the end of an era for Nintendo… until we learn more about whatever the NX! So let’s bask in this bittersweet moment- Bayonetta in Smash! There’s also Corrin, the 6th Fire Emblem character to grace our rosters, as well as a bunch of bundles for characters, Mii Fighter outfits, and of course, stages!
Anyway, enough about that! We’re also getting the original Super Mario Galaxy as a Wii download, along with Space Hulk, and a bunch of permanent markdowns! Typoman is also on sale, so check that out for cheap!
The 3DS has Legend of Legacy coming out this week, and I know nothing about it other than the redundant title! There’s also a ton more permanent markdowns, and of course, that Smash DLC!
So, what’s the go this week?

Hmmm Space Hulk. I was hoping it would be cheaper. 40k on Wii U is too hard to pass up though!
You’ve left out Turtle Run on 3DS and Wii U ($3.99) which débuted on the Australian eShop this week (33% off 3DS version if you have the Wii U version; not sure if it works the other way around as I haven’t checked the Wii U eShop yet). Interestingly, this was released in the U.S. and Europe way back in mid-2014, but has only just been released now in Australia, presumably due to the now-active IARC rating scheme, which allows indies to have their games classified for free by filling out an online form (classification boards do not actually view or play the game before it is given classifications via IARC; hence why some games may receive unusually high classifications due to the automated nature of this system, such as one of the word games that received a PG rating last week, or the M rated Cube Life).
I’ve found the IARC games don’t show up until the eshop updates, which is 1am local time for me 🙁 And considering I work on most Fridays, I don’t get time to update the article! It’s a little frustrating, but we’ll see what we can do in the future 🙂
DLC? I think you mean AOC, gosh.
Aussie Nintendo…
Now’s there’s a name I have not heard for a long time…
